Certificate and Environment

Granab Subfloor Systems are type-approved by the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and SINTEF in Norway

Granab Subfloor Systems 3000N, 7000N and 9000N are tested and certified by SP Swedish Technical Research Institute and SINTEF Byggforsk in Norway regarding load-bearing capacity, stability and age resistance with verified values for sound-absorbing properties.

Granab subfloor systems meet the requirements of 8 chapter 4 sections 1 and 5 of the PBL (Swedish Planning and Construction Act) in regards and under the conditions specified in the type-approval and are therefore approved in accordance with the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s Building Regulations (BBR) and general advice on the application of European construction standards (EKS).

Test and certification of Granab Floor Rule System at SP Swedish Technical Research Institute and SINTEF in Norway

Deflection properties

Deflection at point load in floors laid on the Granab system is in addition to the floor rule system’s structure and c / c distance between the bars depending on the choice of floor surface layer and installation design. The respective manufacturers of floor surface layers provide information on deflection for each floor surface layer.

2. Load test 1 separate support block / level adjusting screw

Load of support block performed by placing a support block with a level screw between two steel plates and loading by means of a hydraulic pressure press. Force and deformation were recorded. During the test, only 10 mm of the adjusting screw was threaded into the support block.

Bending test profile with spliced disc (without damping pad)

The bending test performed by placing a steel rail with two support blocks mounted at a distance of cc 600 mm in a hydraulic pressure press, after which a point load was applied to the steel rail in the middle between the support blocks. Force and deformation were recorded.

4. Fatigue test of installed Granab floor construction

The fatigue test performed over a support block on the test floor by pulsing the load between 0.1 Fk and 0.6 Fk 10,000 times at a speed of 1 Hz. Fk was characteristic value from load test of support block. A total of two fatigue tests were performed over support blocks in the outer corners of the test floor. The load was pulsed between 0.1 and 0.6 Fk where Fk was set to 8.5 kN. Both load tests failed without any permanent deformation or damage.

Granab Subfloor System, Materials, Environmental Impact, Age Resistance, Specific Product Features

Granab subfloor system

Granab Subfloor System is designed to be easily dismantled when needed and to be reassembled in its entirety. All details can be recycled.

Floor rule

Material : Zinc-plated steel or untreated steel, thickness 1.5 mm.

Environment : Sheet steel is included in the cycle and becomes new steel in the electrical steel plants.

Functional age resistance: Zinc-coated steel has a very long age resistance.

Damping element

Material : Elastomer, GRAB-310.

Environment : No environmental impact, recyclable to new PUR product. The GRAB-310´’s resistance to short-term extreme overloads is very high and the material springs back completely if overloading occurs. The material’s dynamic E-modules demonstrate no deterioration during long-term tests.

Functional age resistance : Elastomer has a very long age resistance. No effect of ozone, UV radiation or common chemicals.

Support block with level adjusting screw

Material : Polypropylene, Granab standard, according to DIN 53444.

Environment : No environmental impact. Recyclable into new basic material.

Functional age resistance : Very long according to the curve.
