New construction of apartment building – CLT

The deliveries of Granab S-8000W25 are in full swing to the renowned, climate-positive apartment building in Malmö, ETC Hyllie.
By choosing Granab Subfloor System and thus eliminating the need for cast-in-place concrete and levelling compound, the climate impact of the construction project was improved.
The project used floor panels from Recoma to add weight above the Granab system. The panels are made from 100% recycled material and are 100% recyclable. By adding mass to the lightweight floor structure, sound insulation was improved whilst making use of recycled material. A solution that contributes to both good acoustics and reduced environmental impact.
We are very proud to once again contribute to climate-smart construction and are grateful to all involved who contributed to the choice of environmentally friendly building materials in this project. One example is EcoCocon’s straw insulation system used on the inside of the outer walls.
