Capella Hemsö-STC
New construction of gym, dans hall, event hall
Granab delivered materials to Kv Capella, which is part of Karlastaden in 2022-2023. We had the privilege of delivering subfloor systems to parts of Folkuniversitetet’s premises in the form of dance studios and a large black box.
In order to give the customer the opportunity to feel different floor structures before choosing for the dance studio, several smaller test floors with different structures were built. The customer then chose which of the floors they wanted to build in the dance studio.
Granab also supplied subfloor system to STC Karlastaden. Both the gym and the changing rooms were built with Granab subfloor systems.
Due to the fact that parts of the gym had a different requirement for approved natural frequency, we chose to design a part of the gym with more attachment points to end up with the right natural frequency.

Systems used in the project
S-9000N NF25
In STC Karlastaden this system was used in the gym part. For part of the gym, closer attachments (cc 400) were placed instead of the standard cc 600 to fulfil the natural frequency requirement.
S-9000N NE25
This system was designed for the black box in Hemsö’s premises in order to fulfil the requirement for natural frequency.
The co-operation with Granab has been great. They took the time to explain in a good way how the Granab system works and the quality of the subfloor system gets the highest marks. The communication between Serneke and Granab also gets the highest marks. The Granab system was for us a cost-effective solution that also gets a passing grade from an environmental aspect from us at Serneke. The timing of deliveries was also handled really well, which means that we are more than satisfied with the cooperation with Granab and think it has been fun to have you in the project.
