Ulvsunda Sports Centre

The former premises of the Pripps brewery in Ulvsunda, Bromma, have been converted to Ulvsunda Sports Centre, transforming a historic industrial building into a modern sports facility. With approximately 20,000 m² of sports space, the centre represents one of Stockholm’s major investments in sports and physical activity, accommodating a wide range of sports and activities under one roof. These include handball, basketball, floorball and volleyball, alongside spaces for table tennis, fencing, martial arts, dance and pétanque. One of the four full-size sports halls has been designed as an event arena, with seating for approximately 2,400 spectators.

The project involves the extensive transformation of a building with significant cultural and historical value. The ambition has been to preserve elements of its industrial heritage while creating modern, flexible sports facilities. Reuse and sustainable material choices have been key priorities throughout the project, making it an interesting example of how existing buildings can be adapted for new purposes.

In early 2026, Granab delivered a total of 4,700 m² of its S-3000N25 Sport flooring system to the facility. The delivery included flooring systems for three sports halls, two dance studios and one judo hall.

The S-3000N25 Sport is Granab’s lowest-profile sports flooring system, with a total construction height of less than 80 mm. Its low build-up height makes it particularly suitable for projects where available space is limited, while still providing a functional, vibration-damped floor construction for sports and physical activities.

Through our deliveries to Ulvsunda Sports Centre, Granab contributes to a modern and versatile sports facility designed to accommodate a wide range of activities in spaces suitable for both training and competition.
