Lokstallarna
New construction of residential building

During 2023-2024, Granab has been given the privilege of supplying subfloor system to the Lokstallarna project in Hagastaden, Stockholm. Lokstallarna is a a project of apartment blocks with a total of 243 apartments divided into four blocks where the highest block has apartments on 12 floors.
On the 6th floor, there is a higher gap between the slab and the surface layer, which meant that Granab chose to design system 8000W12 as this system enables a higher construction height on the floor. On top of S-8000W12, a 45×45 LVL beam was chosen to achieve the correct finished floor level.

Due to the low construction height, the lower floor chipboard had to be dropped to ensure space for waste water pipes from the kitchen.

On floor 6, the floor structure was higher, which meant that it was decided to design system 8000W with an additional 45×45 beam to achieve the correct construction height.
In addition, there were ventilation ducts that were close to the wall, which meant that the floor chipboard support was solved by screwing a rule against the wall on which damping elements could be placed.
Granab has been really good to work with – flexible deliveries, smooth communication and a robust product. Quick installation which makes it attractive to building contractors and installers. Big bonus from an environmental point of view as we were able to minimise the use of concrete.
