Houten Hotel Almere
New construction of hotel – CLT
In 2023, Granab had the honour of supplying subfloor systems to FLETT”s Houten Hotel Almere project. The hotel is located in Almere, the Netherlands and Granab S-8000W was chosen primarily for environmental reasons. A high proportion of wood was also sought as a building material, which made S-8000W an attractive system.
Because the ground floor does not have the same sound requirements, it was possible to use 12 mm damping elements of sylodyn and still meet the acoustic requirements. On levels 2-4, S-8000W25, i.e. 25mm Sylody damping elements, were designed to fulfil the acoustic requirement.
To ensure the efficient installation of Granab, our installation manager Mats travelled to Almere and showed the staff how to install Granab efficient, who then installed the system. Installation training is always offered in larger projects where Granab is chosen as subfloor system and we believe that it makes a significant difference for new staff to get a good installation rate of Granab.
